So I Just took him down on my 4th try hes death spell did nothing and missed the targeted member not sure wether it was my leader or not anyways use the following – Lighting Leader Hope, fang and then i used standard tier 2 weapons with hp upgrades on my characters and the loot items lol i guess try untill hes death spell misses youl be fine use – 1st – med med sab 2nd rav rav rav 3rd use com com com and then have one which is med syn sab where and when to use them is simple hope this helps
I do find this a easy fight although i dont have the cherubs crowns i always see resistance items as im a gil fiend lol does he always target your party leader as it seems this way :/ if i can figure that out ill be sweet and may post a vid as my way is different to yours in a couple of ways .

@asherzwithaz with 3 maxleveled seraphs crowns gives u a total 94% protection from Death
would a seraphs crown do?
My characters sucked, but I used Fang, Vanille and Hope to beat him because I didn’t upgrade Fang as a saboteur, but mostly as a sentinel. Vanille was good at debuff and Hope at buffing the party. Finished this son of a bitch (and… daughter?) in like 6 minutes.

just fought this guy 3 times every time i get him to just about dead (under 1 mill health) he uses the isea move then right after merciles judgement, so you die instantly…. this games fucking retarded

wouldn’t using Com/Com/Med to keep his chain guage from hitting stagger work?
it would keep him in consummate light
hehehe i maxed my crys. and can pwn him with triple everything (com/com/com;sab/sab/sab;med/med/med;etc) it took me about three tries wen i first fought him back wen i was low level.

@letsbedragonflies after you complete turn around there is a portal… go through it and than there is a portal to the planes… ^_^
Main party I used was Fang/Light/Hope
I used the following paradigms and beat him in roughly around 6-8 minutes
Bully – Sab/Com/Syn
Tri Disaster – rav/rav/rav
Aggression – com/com/rav
combat clinic – Sen/med/med
superiority – syn/syn/sab
but now that all my characters paradigms are completely maxed out and my fang is incredibly OP I can obliterate him in about 3- 4 minutes haha

i used fang/vanille/hope and beat him in about 5 minutes with
1-combat clinic
2-evened odds (definitely)
3-diversity
4-relentless assault
rinse and repeat
hope casting enfire on fang is KEY; it helps drive up the stagger gauge very quickly.
also the only items i equipped to the characters were the HP-boosting bangles (gave hope around 2000 extra health), . LOL
